Having been so pleased with the previous project, Gymshark came straight back to us with a request for another influencer kit!

For the launch of a new weight lifting singlet, Gymshark wanted us to produce some impressive packaging to showcase the singlet, which would be distributed to content creators worldwide. 

We presented the idea of using an elevating box, which evolved into an elevating platform to cleverly mimic a weightlifting platform.

A previous project inspired the construction for the Lift box. We developed this further by creating a new method to hold the box open without ribbon. The precise assembly of the box meant there was no allowance for a folded ribbon, so our experienced Packaging Developer, Dom Rushton, devised an ingenious new system with rigid card instead.

We were challenged with recreating the iconic LIFT lights that feature in Gymshark’s own ‘Lifting Club’. This was created using a light activated screen, with transparent light blue film and black card cut outs. To match the lights perfectly, we also cut out vinyl lettering which was adhered to the back lit screen.

To mimic the weightlifting platform further, our design studio created a printed texture to represent chalk dust from a weightlifting floor.

We had a challenging schedule which was intensified when we discovered the foiling sheet was too large for the equipment. A big thanks to Elite Cutters who went above and even made adjustments to their own machinery to make it happen!

The box held the singlet on the top section of the box and has a further compartment underneath to hold various related weightlifting accessories.

The 17 boxes, along with 65 of a simpler construction were delivered in bespoke mailing cartons ready to be transported to influencers worldwide. Click here to watch a reveal video by one of the recipients!
