Carbon Balanced with WLT
Although we are taking steps to reduce our carbon footprint, there are some emissions that are tricky to avoid. We are proud to be partnered with the World Land Trust, who Carbon Balance (offset) the equivalent of our total business carbon footprint.
World Land Trust (WLT) is an international conservation charity that protects the world’s most biologically significant and threatened habitats.
The organisation boasts patrons such as Sir David Attenborough, Chris Packham, David Gower and Steve Backshall.
To date, we are the only dedicated rigid box manufacturer with this accreditation.

Produced in the UK
A simple choice but one that has a big impact. By choosing a UK manufacturer your packaging is clocking fewer miles and therefore doing less harm to the planet, which is why ‘Made in the UK’ has become a badge of honour.
Produced in the UK comes with added benefits such as greater quality control, better communication and shorter lead times.
Our Green Energy provider
As part of our drive to reduce our carbon footprint, we use an energy provider that supplies green energy instead of fossil fuels.
Ecotricity was the first energy company to offer green electricity. They started with one windmill in Gloucestershire and have carried on building new wind and solar parks around Britain. Their electricity is 100% green – made from the sun, the wind and the sea.
Improvements we’re making
At Showcase Creative we’re always seeking to improve our environmental impact. Below are just a few of the recent changes we've made:
Swapping to biodegradable pallet wrap and bubble wrap
Changing our packing tape to Kraft tape which is made from natural, renewable resources, is free from animal products and is effortlessly composted or recycled.
Pioneering a tuck flap closure method as an alternative to using non-recyclable magnets
Additionally, we’re constantly looking at other forms of protective packaging and offer options such as honey comb and rigid board, and we are now looking at introducing a fiber-based foam material made from Nordic wood. The material is designed to replace polymer foams and formed in-place fossil-based materials in packaging solutions.
